New Propellers from the GA-Prop company
We pleased to announce we have become the UK distributors for the new very high performance propellers from the company GA-Prop
These are made in the Ukraine to a high quality standard and designed by Yura Petrenko who is the person who originally developed the Kiev propellers, but left to form a new company a few years ago in order to make these next generation propellers, which are now made from carbon fibre in place of glass fibre used in the Kiev range, giving increased strength and rigidity.
Tests on a Aeroprakt A22 Foxbat have shown a 10-15% performance gain over the original Kiev propeller and a weight reduction from the use of carbon fibre.
A range of diameters and types are being produced to suit all engines from 30 -150hp and Paramotors to Rotax 582 , 912(80hp) & 912S(100hp) and Microlight / VLA / LSA aircraft, onto Lycoming powered permit to fly aircraft and from 2 up to 8 blades for air boats/hovercraft and different blade profiles - wide blades for slower cruise speed aircraft such as the C42, Eurostar, Skyranger or flexwings and narrow blades for the Allegro, Pioneer, Sport Cruiser, Dynamic, CTSW, and similar slippery aircraft. Both tractor and pusher types available.
All aircraft propellers have a scimitar blade shape with curved leading edge and tips which gives very high performance with low noise.

Leading edge protection is standard with a choice of brass or stainless steel which is moulded in during manufacture rather than stuck on afterwards as the previous Kiev types and being carbon fibre these props are much harder for better durability from stones and other sources of damage.
The standard colours are white tips with a deep clear lacquer which allows the carbon fibre weave of the blade to show through and looks really attractive. An all white top surface is also available as an option. All propellers have the reverse side (facing the pilot) in natural carbon colour to minimise reflections and give better forward vision looking through the prop.
An easy to use pitch setting tool and all hardware is included with each propeller and a matching spinner + back plate and fabric blade covers are also available
